Ajit Chauhan, Erica Baum
Until it Makes Sense
27.1. – 4.3. 2017, opening 26.1. 6–9pm
We had the first chance to encounter the artistic production of Ajit Chauhan in 2010 when he was active at the artistic residence Meetfactory in Prague. His works aroused big interest on the local scene then. A more intensive cooperation between the artist and the gallery occurred in 2012 when Lawrence R. Rinder, director of the Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive, curated an exhibition at SVIT. The artistic works which Chauhan introduces at the current exhibition are a continuation of his fine destructive work with paper. Chauhan decided to invite Erica Baum to his exhibition. She is an artist fascinated by the world of the press.
